Oblon obtained a favorable claim-construction result for its client, Ajinomoto Co., in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. The underlying opinion determined that patent claims asserted by Kyowa Hakko Bio against Ajinomoto are indefinite.
ITC Confirms No Violation Finding on Behalf of Aisin Seiki - July 20, 2019 – Firm News
The Oblon’s litigation team prevailed in ITC litigation on behalf of its client, Aisin Seiki, against Intellectual Ventures. The notice of final determination was issued by the ITC on July 19, 2019 and confirmed a finding of no violation of Section 337 in favor of Aisin Seiki and its customers, Toyota and Honda. The successful defense included favorable IPR final written decisions, invalidating all asserted claims.
ITC Sides with Oblon Client, Valeo - October 26, 2015 – Firm News
On October 22, 2015, Administrative Law Judge Thomas J. Pender of the ITC sided with Oblon’s client Valeo North America, Inc. in determining that Trico Products Corp. violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act based on the infringement of one of Valeo’s patents relating to windshield wipers. The decision comes on the heels of a similar Section 337 investigation at the ITC involving Valeo against Federal-Mogul Corp. that resolved multiple litigations between the parties.
