ADC Docketing - Task Coordinator
Regular Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides daily oversight of the ADC inbox, as well as other client inboxes to ensure all email is prioritized and timely addressed.
- Monitors and clears the ADC daily docket, reminds professionals of matters due.
- Reviews incoming communications from the USPTO and clients. Ensures all are correctly interpreted as to instructions contained therein and distributed.
- Prepares reminder letters to clients and drafts letters as assigned by legal professionals or as the docket necessitates.
- Open new matters coming into the ADC and coordination with lead attorney to get the work assigned and distributed.
- Researches issues raised by clients or internal colleagues, and responds accordingly.
- Maintains electronic case records to ensure that pertinent communications/documents are saved in the same in accordance with firm policies.
- Communicates with officials at the USPTO by email or telephone, as necessary.
- Downloading search reports and references and saving into the proper DMS workspaces.
- Maintaining certain client spreadsheets.
- Provides assistance in handling projects or assignments as directed.
- Accomplishes all tasks as appropriate.
Qualifications (Experience, knowledge, skills and abilities):
- Proficient in advanced skills in Microsoft applications.
- Ability to type at least 50 wpm.
- Working knowledge and understanding of patent prosecution process.
- Ability to relate to staff in a positive, collaborative manner.
Salary range: $65,000 to $80,000.
