Andrew (Andy) M. Ollis, is a partner and Deputy Head of the Litigation Department.  He is also a member of the Chemical, and Mechanical practice groups. Mr. Ollis is also active in the Opinions and Counseling practice group and in the Industrial Designs practice group.

Mr. Ollis counsels clients in all aspects of patent law including litigation, post-grant practice, infringement and validity opinions, clearance reviews, licensing, patent prosecution and portfolio development, and design patents. In counseling clients, Mr. Ollis believes in the importance of listening carefully to the issues presented and then matching the business needs to the most appropriate legal option.

Mr. Ollis has substantial experience in all phases of patent litigation in district courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. During the past several years Mr. Ollis has served as lead counsel in a design patent infringement litigation and argued before the Federal Circuit.

With a background in materials science, Mr. Ollis’s practice encompasses a wide range of technologies including glass, thin-film coatings, adhesives, laminates, packaging, food, semiconductors, electronic devices, LEDs, automated farm equipment, automated pharmacies, high voltage transmission line monitoring, metal processing, and clothing.
