Oblon is pleased to recognize World Intellectual Property Day – April 26, 2021 – IP & SMEs: Taking your ideas to market.  This is a day aimed at increasing the general understanding of intellectual property (IP) rights and the role IP plays in encouraging innovation and creativity.  For the past 30+ years, Oblon has been recognized as #1 in securing the most utility patents, and we are proud to be a contributor, in partnership with our clients, in the technological innovation that has helped shape our world.  In addition, Oblon has been doing its part to bring awareness to IP by waiving our fees for filing provisional applications for inventions directly related to addressing the COVID-19 global health crisis.   A number of our clients have taken advantage of this offering and we trust that their scientific and technological developments will lead to a safer world.  More recently, Oblon has supported the Essilor Vision Foundation’s efforts to improve vision in the world and has donated to help improve children’s lives through better vision worldwide.  Oblon will continue to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their goals of building stronger, more competitive businesses through expansion of their IP rights.
