Ninety-three employees from Oblon, Spivak joined over 40,000 people on Saturday, June 5, 2010 in the 21st running of the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure® in Washington, D.C. to help support the fight against breast cancer. One Oblon, Spivak staff member finished the "run" portion of the event 59th out of about 7,500 runners!
The event raised more than $4.5 million to fund breast cancer programs for the medically underserved throughout the National Capital Area and abroad. Up to 75 percent of the money raised by the Komen Global Race for the Cure stays in the D.C. area to fund breast cancer screening, treatment and education programs through the National Capital Area Grant Program.
