Recognizing the economic situation in the United States at the time was not favorable, the three founders pooled their resources and sent Norman Oblon to Japan, whose companies were embarking upon a world-wide patenting strategy. He succeeded beyond expectations and recruited several clients on this first trip, most of whom remain clients to this day. In fact, the firm’s very first client is still the firm’s client.
