Richy Avila Rocha is a technical advisor in the firm’s Electrical and Mechanical Practice Group where he focuses on drafting patent applications and patent prosecution. He has experience working in various technological fields, including fintech, machine learning, signal processing, electronic devices, and logistics management systems.

Prior to joining Oblon, Richy worked as a patent engineer at an international law firm, where he focused on patent prosecution for several large clients. During his graduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, Richy researched next generation nuclear plant design, where he specialized in materials selection and safety.
