Jianping (James) Wu is a Senior Technical Advisor in the firm’s Electrical Patent Prosecution Practice Group providing advice and counsel to the firm’s members and clients in the areas of patent prosecution, patent litigation, patent enforcement and cross-licensing. Mr. Wu prepares and prosecutes patent applications with high technical complexity in various fields of art, including 4G/5G mobile communication standards, video coding standards (HEVC/VVC), analog/digital integrated circuits, automotive technologies, computer networks, medical devices, and semiconductor devices, etc.

Mr. Wu has thirteen years of work experience in the Chinese telecommunications and Internet industry. Working in the areas of network design, product development and operation management, he has developed expertise in PSTN networks and signaling systems, operation support systems, access networks, mobile communication networks and technologies, broadband access networks, domain name systems and many other communications technologies.
