Ruth G. Davila is a patent agent in the firm’s Electrical Patent Prosecution practice group where she assists in the preparation of domestic and international patent applications.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Davila spent over six years serving as a nuclear surface warfare officer for the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy, Ms. Davila obtained extensive training and operational experience in all aspects of nuclear powered propulsion, including reactor core design, chemistry, fluid mechanics, power generation and distribution, and instrumentation and control systems and applied those skills onboard a nuclear powered aircraft carrier. She also served as the anti-submarine warfare officer onboard a guided missile destroyer and was responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and operating various combat systems.

Prior to joining the Navy, Ms. Davila specialized as both a graduate and undergraduate student in digital signal processing, specifically pattern recognition, image processing, and biometric signal processing.
