As Oblon's Chief Operating Officer, Rebecca Ross-Bown works directly with the firm's Management Committee in developing and carrying out the firm’s strategic plans and financial objectives. She also oversees the firm's operational departments including finance, information technology, marketing and business development, human resources, practice group support functions and facilities management.
Working with the other senior administrators at the firm, she strives to deliver excellence in service, evaluate process improvements and support change initiatives to ensure a continued tradition of providing premier intellectual property legal services to all firm clients.
Ms. Ross-Bown has over fifteen years of experience at professional services firms, most of that experience being at law firms. Prior to joining Oblon, she was the Chief of Legal Services at Ropes & Gray LLP, where from her base in the firm's DC office she led a team of directors and managers in providing support for the firm's legal work worldwide, including for the firm's intellectual property litigation and intellectual property rights management practices. Prior to her career at Ropes & Gray, she was a patent litigator at WilmerHale and prior to entering the legal world, worked as an economic consultant for a number of years.
