YUKI ONOE is a patent attorney in the firm’s Chemical Patent Prosecution, Pharmaceutical/Medical Devices, and Litigation practice groups. Ms. Onoe prepares and prosecutes U.S. patent applications covering a wide range of areas such as semiconductor materials, optical components, pharmaceuticals, plastic packaging materials, battery components, and construction materials. She also assists attorneys with legal opinions, counseling, pre-litigation investigations, and discoveries.
Ms. Onoe’s previous work at a patent law firm in Osaka, Japan allowed her to gain experience primarily in U.S. and European patent prosecutions. She also worked at an IP boutique in Chicago where she focused on prosecuting chemistry-related applications.
A Japanese national educated both in Japan and the United States, Ms. Onoe is particularly skilled in communicating with Japanese companies and has provided many translations and explanations on issues involving technical and legal matters.
