PAUL J. KILLOS is a registered patent agent in the firm’s Chemical Patent Prosecution group. He retired from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) after 37 1/2 years of service, where he was a primary examiner. His field of examination was organic chemistry, primarily carboxylic acids and the esters thereof. Prior to his service at the USPTO, he was in the military where he served as a research chemist and published several scientific papers on neuro-toxins and their pharmaceutical properties.
