Leonard J. Weinstein is a technical advisor in the firm’s Mechanical Patent Prosecution practice group, where he writes and revises patent applications for a variety of domestic and international clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Weinstein was a patent examiner at the US Patent and Trademark Office for over five years.  Mr. Weinstein examined patent applications related to pump technologies and control systems used in automobile air conditioning and engine cooling fluid circuits, computer and laptop cooling applications, chemical and genetic experimentation equipment, internal and external blood pumps, and medical fluid delivery devices.

Prior to being an examiner, Mr. Weinstein was a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton and a project engineer for two mechanical commercial construction firms.  As a consultant, Mr. Weinstein developed skills in process simulation and supported several projects for multiple federal agencies.  As a project engineer, Mr. Weinstein was involved in managing the construction of the HVAC and plumbing systems for the Virginia Beach Convention Center, an expansion to the Albemarle Hospital in North Carolina, and the Hilton Hotel at Baltimore Washington International Airport.
