Jemin Hong is a patent agent in the firm’s Mechanical Patent Prosecution practice group, where he prepares and prosecutes patent applications.
Mr. Hong has 11 years' experience as an automotive and heavy equipment development engineer. He has extensive R&D experience with various mechanical products such as automotive powertrain components, turbo machinery, earthmoving equipment, and commercial carriers.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hong was a Senior CAE Engineer with JLG Industries where he focused on acoustic research with super compact telescopic handler, vibration analysis and testing with aerial work platforms, and thermal design with engine oil coolers.
Prior to that, Mr. Hong spent four years working as a development engineer at LuK USA where he developed various powertrain components such as torque converters, clutches, and dampers. He spent 1 year at LuK GmbH in Germany where he worked on projects with European customers.
After graduate school, Mr. Hong was a Research and Development Engineer for Hyundai Heavy Industry, where he performed vehicle dynamics analysis, vibration and stress analysis, and experimental research.
