The Honorable Gerald J. Mossinghoff Appointed to the Patent Public Advisory Committee of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office

The Honorable Gerald J. Mossinghoff, Senior Counsel to the firm and a former Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Commissioner of Patents and Trademarks, has been appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to serve on the U.S. Department of Commerce Patent Public Advisory Committee of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. As one of the world's premier intellectual property specialists, Mr. Mossinghoff's expertise will be a great asset to the Advisory Committee. The Patent Public Advisory Committee was created by the 1999 American Inventors Protection Act to advise the Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on matters relating to the policies, goals, performance, budget, and user fees of the patent operation.
