Oblon Spivak, LLP is proud to congratulate partner Scott A. McKeown upon being selected by the National Law Journal to it's inaugural “IP Trailblazers & Pioneers” list. Released on October 27th, the list is comprised of 50 individuals who are "raising the bar" in intellectual property law in areas including copyright, patents, trademarks and licensing. McKeown's selection adds to the host of recognition the firm's Post-Grant Patent Practice and its attorneys have received as it continues to secure major client victories in high-profile post-grant proceedings and related District Court litigation.

McKeown leads the Oblon Spivak Post-Grant Patent team responsible for electronics and software matters and is one of the nation’s foremost thought leaders on the new patent challenge mechanisms of the America Invents Act (AIA). He blazed a trail as a recognized authority on post-grant patent practice years prior to the passage of the AIA and continues to represent some of the world's largest and most innovative science and technology companies.

Oblon Spivak's Post-Grant Patent team is recognized as a premier practice by top legal rankings organizations, including Chambers and Partners, Managing Intellectual Property, Intellectual Asset Management Patent 1000, and several others. The team has settled more Inter-Partes Review proceedings than most of its competitors have filed in total.
