Oblon Welcomes Back Former Trademark Attorney to Growing Trademark & Designs Group

Alexandria, VA- Oblon, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt, L.L.P. is pleased to announce that Brian B. Darville has re-joined the firm’s Trademark & Designs practice group. Brian left the firm in 2007 and has since focused his practice on trademark and copyright related counseling and dispute resolution.

Darville brings over two decades of litigation experience in federal courts throughout the U.S. and over a decade of experience handling intellectual property protection for trademarks and copyrights. He has handled numerous trademark, cybersquatting, unfair competition and copyright cases in federal court, and frequently represents clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).

“Not only have we seen significant interest in our Trademark & Designs practice group from the client side, but also from practitioners seeking a more entrepreneurial practice. We are delighted that our new practice focus has brought Brian back to the firm. Brian’s wealth of experience in counseling on all aspects of trademark and copyright prosecution and litigation makes him a valuable addition to our business oriented approach. Brian’s talent is perfectly geared toward our client’s interests, and Oblon is excited to have Brian back on the team,” said Bradley Lytle, former Managing Partner of Oblon.

In his role as Senior Counsel with Oblon, Darville will continue his career as an experienced trademark and copyright litigator and advise the firm’s clients on all aspects of trademark and copyright law, portfolio management and maintenance, and licensing of intellectual property, litigation and e-commerce.

Darville holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia, an L.L.M. from George Washington University Law School and a B.A. in Economics also from the University of Virginia.
