Oblon Spivak’s James Kulbaski Quoted in Bloomberg About How Google’s Settlement With the FTC Will Affect Current and Future Lawsuits
Google's recent agreement with the FTC requires them to offer competitors “fair and reasonable” terms for using its patents included in industrywide standards for smartphones, tablet computers and other electronic devices, and to give them time to respond. Mr. Kulbaski commented that making offers to appease the FTC and European regulators who are investigating Google's practices, may not be enough to stop the litigation among the companies. Mr. Kulbaski said "If Apple's not willing to settle, there can't be a global settlement."
