Alexandria, Va. (December 17, 2008) -- The intellectual property law firm Oblon, Spivak, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt, P.C. has been ranked number one again as the top patent prosecuting firm in 2008 in the United States by The Patent Scorecard, which analyzes all U.S. utility patents and the top 100 prosecuting law firms. Data collected from September 2007 through August 2008 showed that the firm prosecuted 3,645 patents in that timeframe, more than any other law firm. The rankings are determined by a firm's total patent count plus the number of citations firm patents have received, to determine the total Technology Strength rating.

“Oblon, Spivak continues to hold the lead position among patent firms for the volume of patent prosecution work we do. The Patent Scorecard's rating system also determines that our patents have a higher quality of value, which is a reflection of our commitment to our clients for outstanding service," said Gregory J. Maier, the firm’s managing partner.

Assisting clients for 40 years, Oblon, Spivak, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt, P.C., in Alexandria, Va., is one of the largest intellectual property specialty firms in the United States. The firm provides a full range of intellectual property services, including litigation matters in all courts.
