Oblon Spivak Attorneys Appointed to Leadership Positions in the American Bar Association

Alexandria, Va.–Oblon, Spivak, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt, L.L.P. is pleased to announce that partner Scott McKeown once again has been appointed to leadership positions within the American Bar Association Intellectual Property Law (ABA-IPL) Section.

Mr. McKeown was appointed as Chair of the Post Grant & Inter Partes Patent Office Practice Committee, after having previously served as Vice-Chair of this committee for a 2-year term. He is Co-Chair of the firm's Post Grant Patent practice group, focusing on post-grant counseling, litigation and related prosecution issues. He leads the Post Grant Patent team responsible for electronics, wireless communications, software and computer-related inventions and business methods. Mr. McKeown also is the editor of the Firm’s well known Patents Post-Grant legal blog, regularly contributing insights and commentary on practice before the Patent Trial & Appeal Board, trends, practice tips and news relating to post grant patent proceedings. He additionally is an editor of the upcoming treatise entitled: Post Grant Proceedings Before the USPTO Patent Trial & Appeal Board, which will be published by the Practising Law Institute.
