Title:Japanese Patent Office Deputy Commissioner and Colleagues Visit Oblon, Spivak
Date:Jan 2008
Professional(s):Dr. Yorikatsu Hohokabe, Jean-Paul Lavalleye, Ph.D., Gregory J. Maier, Honorable Gerald J. Mossinghoff

On January 16, 2008 our Firm was honored by the visit of Japanese Deputy Commissioner, Toshimichi Moriya, accompanied by the JPO’s Director of International Cooperation, Masayoshi Omachi and its U.S. Representative, Tomoki Sawai. [see photo below]

The main purpose of the visit was to consult with Senior Counsel, Honorable Gerald Mossinghoff concerning a number of issues including the future of WIPO and consideration of various candidates for Director General of that important organization. In addition to his role as a leading expert witness in patent litigation, Mr. Mossinghoff’s advice is often sought with respect to international political issues involving world intellectual property systems.
