Biography

Chetan Mutha is a technical advisor in the firm’s Electrical and Mechanical Patent Prosecution practice groups where he is involved in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications. Dr. Mutha’s experience and specialization is diverse. His technical expertise includes automotive systems, control systems, software modeling and system reliability methods.

Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Mutha worked as a research associate at The Ohio State University where he worked on developing methods and algorithms for reliability and safety analysis of complex software and hardware systems. Dr. Mutha worked on projects sponsored by Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), Department of Energy (DOE) and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) from 2009-2014.

Dr. Mutha has written several technical proposals, refereed journal papers and done technical presentations in several international conferences. In addition, he has mentored students on several course projects on reliability, and prepared class exams on reliability engineering topics.

Prior to joining The Ohio State University, Dr. Mutha worked as a software engineer at Infosys Technology, a leading IT firms in India, from 2006-2008. As a software engineer, he gained a vast coding experience in SAP-ABAP programming language. He maintained a good professional relationship while working directly with multi-functional teams and clients to resolve their technical issues.

Prior to joining Infosys Technology, Dr. Mutha worked as a project trainee engineer at Tata Motors, a top automotive firm in India, from 2005-2006. As a mechanical engineer, he worked on design of process improvement tool. In addition, he gained working knowledge of the automotive manufacturing processes including gear manufacturing, die casting, engine manufacturing, stamping, and welding.
