Biography

Arush G. Gadkar, Ph.D. is a patent agent in the firm’s Electrical Patent Prosecution practice group. Dr. Gadkar focuses on communication networks, and has expert technical skills in optimization with integer linear programming, mathematical modeling, analysis of algorithms, and modeling and applications of graph theory. He is also experienced in the network design and optimization of wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) optical networks and time-wavelength-switched optical routers. Dr. Gadkar has published and presented numerous articles internationally regarding optical networks.

Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Gadkar was a Research Associate at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, where he worked in collaboration with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory on the Department of Energy sponsored Coordinated Multi-layer Multi-domain Optical Network (COMMON) Framework for Large-scale Science Applications. His algorithms on Anycast communication paradigm are currently implemented on the Energy Sciences Network’s, On-Demand Secure Circuits and Advance Reservation System (OSCARS).

Dr. Gadkar also serves as an Adjunct professor at George Washington University for a course on Optical Communication Networks.
